The EPIM Migrants & Media Project partners* cordially invite you to their final conference and launch of their online media toolkit:

MIGRANTS, THE MEDIA AND THE MESSAGE II CONFERENCE

Thursday, 6th October 2011

11am – 4.45pm

The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund Offices.

The County Hall. Westminster Bridge Road London. SE1 7PB

The conference will be of interest to those working with migrants and wishing to engage with the media and to give migrants a voice. It will showcase the media work carried out by project partners and will celebrate the launch of the online media toolkit. There will also be workshops on creative ways of changing perceptions of migrants. A more detailed programme will be provided shortly.

The conference is FREE and refreshments and lunch will be provided to all registered participants but PLACES ARE LIMITED and will be on a strictly first come, first served basis. To register, please complete the attached registration form and return to empowerment@migrants.org.uk as soon as possible.

The ‘Migrants and the Media Project’ (MMP), led by Migrants Resource Centre and the ‘Centre for Research on Migration, Refugees and Belonging’ (CMRB) at the ‘University of East London’ (UEL) organized a conference in March for groups involved in media and cultural activities which promoted a positive engagement with the issue of migration.
